Why, hello. I'm Aletha.
Upon graduating from The Illinois Institute of Art with a bachelor of arts in marketing & management, with an emphasis in fashion, I knew I wanted to work in a creative field. Narrowing down my options were difficult, but after spending four years in a marketing position at a large publishing house, I was ready to get creative.

When I left my cubicle to start Pearls Events, a Grand Rapids wedding planning boutique, I went from working with a great group of people to working independently. Thankfully, networking, social media and blogging were part of my former life. I continued to implement what I'd learned into Pearls Events and it has worked well.

It's been a fun journey for me and I walk away for each consulting session feeling refreshed. My clients continuously tell me they feel inspired. And although I plan West Michigan weddings each year, helping other professionals market their own businesses works for me too.

After many inquires from respected business professionals, I formally started offering consulting sessions in October 2008. I've helped others build their online presence by introducing them to blogging, guiding them as they design a new website, directing them in their rebranding process, and more.
